※ SKKU-SOM , ranked 57th in THE rankings by subject

The  world university  rankings for Pre-Clinical, Clinical & Health subject 2018 were announced by The Times Higher Education (THE) on November 8th. According to the rankings, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine (SKKU-SOM) ranks number 57 for Clinical, Pre-clinical and Health - up from 72nd last year. 

SKKU-SOM established a reputation due to its dedication and stronger impact of research papers published throughout the year. It ranked 2nd in Korea, following Seoul National University, and it placed 1st among the private medical schools in Korea. Among the top 100 world universities, 12 Asian universities were recognized. Tsinghua University ranked highest in 25th place, followed by the National University of Singapore (28th), and the University of Hong Kong (31st).

Dean Kyung Soo Lee commented, “It was remarkable to become one of the top 100 medical schools in the world when we first made it on to the list in 2016 rankings. It is even more stunning to see our endeavor result in fast growth as we jumped to 72nd last year and this year to 57th. We will continue our efforts in improving our research and education for better results next year, and we will finally become a leading medical school in Asia.”
