※ 2017 Fall SKKU-SOM Department Chair Meeting

The department chair meeting for fall semester 2017 was held on October 17 at the Samsung Medical Center. 25 department chair professors gathered to discuss recent agendas at SKKU School of Medicine.

Vice Deans reported the main issues in their responsible area, and the chair professors were informed with important news in each area (academic affairs, education, reserach, student affairs and strategic planning). Especially, the Director of Strategic Planning, Prof. Hyo Yeol Kim introduced the replacement of SKKU-SOM education facilities at the newly built Irwon Station Building. The department chair professors raised questions about the details of the replacement, including the transportation, education facilities, and the spaces for faculty meetings. Prof. Kim and the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs answered the questions, and asked for all departments cooperation for smooth moving process in 2018.

Lastly, the faculty members were notifed of the upcoming events at SKKU-SOM including the International Symposium on Medical Education, Faculty Meeting, Retirement Ceremony and the Commencement Ceremony.
