※ Elective Program Presentation

Students who participated in the Elective Program in January had opportunity to share their experience with their peers and fellow students at the 2017 Elective Program Presentation. Over 130 students participated in the presentation. The elective program at SKKU-SOM is a 4-week credit-based program in which students can either have clinical attachment at hospitals or experience lab participation at research institutes.

This year, 40% of the students chose to do their elective program at overseas institutions, while 60% decided to join domestic institutions. 38% of the students participated in clinical attachment, while 56% of the students enjoyed research experience at the labs in and out of Korea. Rest of the students (6%) made unique decision to join non-medical institutions such as public administration and mass communication.

The students had chance to present their experience at the poster-presentation, and the students who were chosen as the best post presentaters were invited to speak at the presentation session. 10 students presented their experience at the session, and interesting questions and discussions were made among the students. SKKU-SOM look forward to expanding the program to provide students with variety of choices for their elective desitations.
