SKKU-SOM Career Talk Concert

SKKU-SOM held the Career Talk Concert for the first time on December 21 at Cancer Center Lecture Hall, Samsung Medical Center. The program was initiated to guide students with more information on the different career choices after graduation. Although students have experience at different clinical departments at the hospital during the curriculum, it is difficult to have opportunity to have in-depth understanding of the departments. Therefore, SKKU-SOM launced a new program where students can learn about different field of clinical medicine directly from the faculty members.

The first department was Department of Psychiatry. It is one of the most highly preferred deapartment from the students, and therefore, it was chosen as the first department for the program. Approximately 100 students participated in the program, where they learned about the characteristic of life as a doctor at the Department of Psychiatry. Many students asked questions regarding the department as about what competency is required to become a prominent doctor at the department.

SKKU-SOM is always looking for more opportunities to help guide students while they make decisions for their future career, and plan to hold the event regularly in the future with various departments in the future.
