On November 26th, the SKKU-SOM Career talk concert was held at the Jung Yak Yong Hall in the clinical medical center, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was conducted via Zoom video conferencing.
Hosted by the SKKU Institute for convergence, it was the second session Career talk concert. The Executive Vice President of Medical Affairs, Dean of SKKU-SOM, and Director of SAIHST opened the event with approximately 159 students in attendance for the program. The key lecturer was Prof. Luke P. Lee, professor at Harvard medical school, as well as the chair professor of SKKU, and the director of SKKU-Institute of Quantum Biophysics (IQB).
The program kicked off with an introduction of SKKU-IQB, followed by discoveries in biophysics, and then medical research topics. Concluding the program, there was an FAQ session about the career paths of medical scientists.
SKKU-SOM has been holding talk concerts since 2018, and this has been the 7th career concert. The goal of this program is to help students learn about the different career paths that lie ahead of them after graduation. There are a variety of career options for medical school graduates, and SKKU-SOM is eager to help students get more information about their future career. The Career talk concert will be regularly held throughout 2022. So, stay tuned.
